Yangtze River Delta region is the most economically developed area in China;the urban-rural integrated health care system there has a demonstration effect on a nationwide scale.At present,however,the urban-rural integrated system in the region has met such problems as disunity of the medical insurance policies at different places,wider span of medical resources allocation between rural and urban areas,difficulties in locating the fund raising mechanism and the compensation mechanism,seamless joint of the commercial medical insurance and the social medical insurance,etc.Therefore,it is believed that in order to solve these problems we should construct a platform to join the different institutions,change the standard of division,establish the urban-rural integrated medical security system with differentiation,integrate the human resources while changing the medical resource allocation,etc.
