Mathematical models of heavy metal bioaccumulation have shown considerable predictive power for environmental management and scientific research. To increase the prediction ability, the protocols and dynamic coefficients need to be improved. Among the models developed for heavy metal bioaccumulation, the biodynamic model including water phase and diet pathway has the potential to be the foundation of a future comprehensive model.
