A facile one-pot method has been developed for the synthesis of fluorine-containing 4(3H)-quinazolinones by a three-component coupling of anthranilic acid, triethyl orthoformate and fluorinated anilines under microwave irradiation and solvent-free conditions. All new compounds are fully characterized by spectral methods, especially, fluorescence.
