The paper analyzes the use conditions of the amendment auxiliary word guo in Cantonese, the core meaning of which is to amend the unsatisfying results of the action related to the current situation. The auxiliary word evolved from a transition form in MC, which was usually used to denote ＂doing something all over again from the beginning＂ in an undesirable context together with chongxin （重新） and similar words.
