在RAID系统的研究中,简洁、高效的软件系统是确保整个系统I/O性能和可用性的关键因素.详细介绍了基于结构化模型的高性能RAID系统nssRAID的设计思路,论述了系统中Cache设计、状态迁移机制,基于策略库的管理控制等关键技术的实现细节;以可引导内核模块的形式在X86-Linux平台上实现了nssRAID系统.实验结果显示,nssRAID系统的IO率和数据吞吐率较目前各种RAID系统均有较大提高.
While doing research work in RAID system, the logical and efficient software system is a key factor that will influence the I/O performance and availability of the RAID system. This article introduces the idea of the structure-model based high performance RAID system(nssRAID). Discusses the technic details while implementing the system such as designing of the Cache, status-transfer mechanism and self-conduct mechanism. In the final I/O testing, we load the nssRAID system using mode of the kernel model on the X86-Linux platform and the system show a much higher performance than lots of current RAID system.
