Mao Zedong＇ s doctrine of the educational work for youth is one of the important contents of Mao Zedong thought, and also the practical principle of Mao Zedong＇ s thought of education. Accompanied with many young patriotic students, Mao Zedong devoted himself to building the ＂New Village based on Part - work and Part - study＂ which is for the sake of independence of our nation and people. He has made the significant contributions to not only the theoretical study but also the practical development of the doctrine of the educational work for youth. However, the three important characteristics of the above - mentioned doctrine, i. e. ＂engagement, encouragement and empowerment＂, will contribute to a better understanding of the contemporary ＂Party Con- struction for the Youth＂.
