Abstract In this paper we analyze the present situation of the informaation management for the antibacterial agents. The key points for antibacterial drug management and the difficulties of its hospital management are also discussed. This paper introduces the advanced semantic technology into the monitoring on the use of antibacterial agents, innovatively put forward ideas to develop a semantically- enabled system for rational use of antibacterial agents, so that massive clinical information wiU be used effectively. This semantic system with the support of data interoperability can reduce clinicians＇ professional burden significantly and provides a basic infrastructure for the intelligent monitoring on the use of antibacterial agents.
