英文摘要：

Constant promotion of technological level in the field of power electronic devices manufacturing not only enables the application of power electronics with large capacity in large-scale power grids, but also gradually enriches its techniques and enhances its economical efficiency. A brief description about the current applications of high-power electronics equipments in DC transmission and distribution field is presented, including the application of line commutate converter based high voltage direct current （LCC- HVDC）, voltage source converter based high voltage direct current （VSC-HVDC） and DC distribution networks. Combined with the current research focuses, the application of high power electronics devices is prospected.
