Linamarase/linamarin system（lis/lin） ,as a new suicide gene system,provides a new method for gene therapy. It hydrolyzes the pro-drug into cyanion which can kill the target cells. Compare with other suicide gene systems, lis/lin system has higer performance with no adverse effects. And the mechanism of its bystander effect is also different with other suicide gene systems which makes its more powerful on killing the target cells. As an ideal suicide gene system,it＇ s likely to be used as a new gene therapy tool clinically in the future.
