A novel dendritic compound containing azobenzene was synthesized through multi-step synthesis.The structures of the intermediate and the dendritic compound were confirmed by FT-IR,UV-vis and IH NMR.TGA analysis indicates that the 5% weight loss of the dendron occurs at 225 ℃,the glass-transition temperature (Tg) of the dendritic compound that has been determined by DSC is 95.7 ℃.
