Soil-borne pests and diseases have caused severe loss to crop yield. Soil fumigation is the most direct and effective way to solve the problem. This paper briefly introduces affecting factors of soil fumigation from three aspects, physical properties, chemical properties and environmental conditions, respectively. The existing problems and prospects of soil fumigation were also discussed.
