近年来,互联网企业的高速成长引起了学术界的关注。基于2008年至2012年国内互联网行业上市公司数据,考察互联网企业成长规模分布,检验我国互联网行业是否遵循Gibrat定律,即企业成长是否独立于规模。结果发现:(1)互联网企业成长规模呈对数正态分布,整个行业结构呈现“寡头主导、多种形态企业共存”的局面;(2)互联网行业不遵循Gibrat定律,互联网企业成长是一个随机过程,其成长率与期初规模存在相关关系。因此,笔者认为规模是影响企业成长的因素之一,但仍需深入探索融资、营销等诸多因素对互联网企业成长的影响机理。
Gibrat's Law predicts that finn growth is a purely random effect and therefore should be independ- ent of firm size. The purpose of this paper is to test Gibrat's law within the Internet industry, using a novel dataset comprising all Chinese E -commerce companies between 2008 and 2012. Very few studies have previously inves- tigated whether Gibrat's Law seems to hold for Internet sectors. Our results indicate that Internet firms' size are supposed to obey lognormal distribution, however, Gibrat's Law can be rejected in Chinese E -commerce indus- try, since small E -commerce firms tend to grow faster than large ones.
