It is pointed out that the research on ship tail gas is starting in the study of the current haze. In this paper, the source of PM2.5 at the ship lock of Gezhou Dam was analyzed using the most advanced on-line single particle aerosol mass spectrometer （SPAMS0525）. Combined with the material balance calculation of shipping emission, the contribution of shipping emission on the formation of haze was estimated to be 7 %, which should be paid with more attention.
