以1998—2010年江苏省13个地级市市辖区统计数据为基础,运用A.Ciccone（2002）提出的模型,估测了江苏省各城市的物质资本存量和人力资本存量水平,而后采用面板数据方法实证分析了城市劳动生产率与经济密度的关系。结果显示江苏省苏北地区城市劳动生产率对经济密度的影响显著为正,其城市生产率对经济密度的影响弹性为13.5%,从而验证了该地区城市集聚经济效应的存在;而苏南地区城市生产率对经济密度的弹性为-3.9%,表明该地区城市集聚经济的负效应出现。
英文摘要：
Based on the statistics data of 13 prefecture-level cities during 1998 to 2010 in Jiangsu province,this article uses the model presented by A.Ciccone （2002）to estimate the material capital and human capital stock in the cities of Jiangsu. And next,it analyzes the relationship between urban labor productivity and economic density through applying panel data method. The results show that the urban labor productivity has a significant positive effect on the economic density in northem area of Jiangsu with an estimated elasticity of 13.5% ,thus the urban agglomeration effect in this areas are proved;meanwhile the estimated elasticity is-3.9% in southern area of Jiangsu,so it is indicated that the negative effects of urban agglomeration economiy appear in this areas.
