对流云合并是暴雨、冰雹等灾害性天气过程中常见的一种现象,对流云合并能促进云体的发展,产生更多的降水,并引发强对流天气。本文围绕对流云合并研究现状,从基本概念、观测事实、合并的影响、合并机制等方面,来总结国内外的相关进展,并对合并现象的未来研究和发展方向进行了探讨。时空分辨率更高、探测内容更丰富的新型大气探测资料的应用以及借助数值模式来有效模拟合并的物理过程是对流云合并研究的主要发展方向。
Convective Cloud Merger is a common phenomenon during severely convective weather events such as storm, strong wind, hail and thunder. The merger of convective clouds play an important role in cloud' s developing; more precipitation and severe storm weather events often occur after clouds are merged. This paper presents a review of convective cloud merger including observation of cloud merger, concept of merger, the influence of precipitation, and the theory. Finally, future research on cloud merging has been discussed. The application of new monitoring data with higher spatiotemporal resolution and additional physical parameters will be a mainly research area of Convective Cloud Merger. In addition, the study of physical processes with high spatiotemporal numerical models will be another interesting research area.
