For applying Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) technique to Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) such as in power plant, it is necessary to study the temperature effect on SO2 differential absorption characteristics in UV band. Temperature effects from 30-400℃ on SO2 differential absorption properties in UV band from 280-320 nm are experimentally studied. The results show that the differential absorption properties change dramatically with temperature. The differential absorbance peaks decrease with increase of temperature while the valleys will increase. The differential absorption cross-section peak value relative change 210℃ and 390℃ to 30℃ will reach approximately -40% and -70%. But no qualitative absorption frequency change is observed.
