实验研究了N^*-Sc^*相变时施加直流电压的强度对铁电液晶分子层排列和电光性能的影响,由此筛选了合适的直流电压强度,并研制了可实现连续灰度级的半“V”字形铁电液晶样品.实验说明N^*-Sc^*相变时施加直流电压强度大有利于获得性能良好的器件.采用N^*-Sc^*相变施加4V/μm直流电压,制备半“V”字形铁电液晶器件,经测试器件饱和电压为5V,对比度为112.8,上升时间和下降时间分别为622.14μs和374.7μs.
Abstract:The impact on the layer formation and the electro optical characteristics of N^*-Sc^* phase sequence ferroelectric liquid crystal, posed by N^* phaseWhen transforming to Sc^* phase with different amplitudes of DC voltage, was studied. The experimental results show that the amplitudes of DC voltage impact the layer formation and the electro optical characteristics H-V FLC greatly, and with larger amplitude DC voltage, relatively better electro optical curves may be obtained. Base on the experiments, some comparatively suitable DC amplitudes were selected to manufacture the H-V FLC gray scales samples. As a result,4V/μm DC voltage is adopted and fabricated the H V FLC samples. The contrast ratio of the H V FLC samples is more than 100. Meanwhile,its saturation voltage is only 5V,the rise time is 622.14 ms and the fall time is 374.7 ms.
