烧结气氛对SiC/Al2O3复相陶瓷力学性能与抗热震性的影响

研究了N2和空气气氛对SiC/Al2O3致密陶瓷材料的抗弯强度、断裂韧性与抗热震性等性能的影响及空气中SiC/Al2O3的氧化特性.利用万能实验机测试试样的力学性能;陶瓷材料抗热震性自动测试仪测试材料的抗热震指数;并用XRD、SEM对样品的物相组成、微观形貌进行表征.结果表明:N2气氛下烧成试样强度(最高达479.86MPa)明显优于空气气氛;而在空气气氛中,SiC的加入明显改善了材料的抗热震性能(抗热震指数Γ最高达32.98,纯Al2O3的Γ为23.83);微米级SiC在低温下抗氧化效果优于纳米SiC,在1600℃空气中微米级SiC基本完全氧化.XRD表征显示:在空气中SiC发生氧化后与氧化铝反应生成了莫来石,从而改善了材料的抗热冲击性.

英文摘要:

The effects of nitrogen and air atmosphere on flexural strength,fracture toughness,thermal shock resistance and oxidation properties of SiC/Al2O3 ceramics were investigated.The mechanical properties of the samples were characterized by a universal testing machine; the indexes of thermal shock resistance of the samples were determined by an automatic thermal shock resistance tester; the composition and microstructure were studied by an X-ray diffractometer (XRD) aand a scanning electron microscope (SEM); SiC oxidation degrees were analyzed by mass difference method.The experimental results showed that the samples sintered in nitrogen had higher strength than in air (the highest strengthen reached 479.86 MPa); SiC additive improved the thermal shock resistance of the material (the highest index of thermal shock resistance Γreached 32.98 while the r of pure Al2O3 was 23.83).The results also showed that micro-sized SiC had better oxidation resistance than nano-scale SiC at low temperature,micro-sized SiC was oxidized totally in the air at 1600℃.XRD results revealed that the oxidized SiC then further reacted with alumina to form mullite,which improved its thermal shock resistance.
