英文摘要：

In the imperfect land transfer market, disparity between willingness to accept （hereafter WTA） and willingness to pay （hereafter WTP）is a universal phenomenon. Willingness price is the main method of farmers＇ land valuation, different grain production purposes result in a disparity in farmers＇ land valuation, thus vary farmers＇ willingness price of land transfer. We divided grain production purposes into meeting rations, maintaining employment and pursuing benefits across five provinces 447 households to examine the impact of grain production purpose on the land transfer willingness price of farmers. We found that under stable land transfer preference and land transfer willingness possession, there is a disparity in WTA between the three kinds of farmers, but only pursuing benefit farmers have a higher WTA than meeting rations farmers. As to WTP, farmer WTP increases steadily following the meeting rations, maintain employment and pursuing benefit. The increase in family agricultural labor enhances farmer reliance on the land and WTA increases significantly and WTP changes insignificantly. However, possessing large-scale agricultural machines enhances farmer reliance on land and increases their willingness for land transfer in as both WTA and WTP increase significantly. As the age of the household＇ s head increases, farmer willingness for land transfer out is stronger and both WTA and WTP decrease significantly. The bigger area of household contracted land, farmer willingness for land transfer is stronger and WTP increases significantly. In the future, the development of Chinese rural land transfer markets depends on changes in farmer grain production purposes. Regarding demand, policy supporting large scale planting and increasing large-scale machine subsidies can increase pursuing benefit farmers. This may accelerate the development of the Chinese rural land transfer market.
