This article discusses the basic procedures and implementation of the life cycle management of typical scientific work flow systems,including composition,model representation,mapping,implementation and metadata provenance management.It then takes the scientific work flow system of Taverna as an example to expound its application in biology information research.The future trend of scientific work flow research is summarized in the last part.
