A semantic architecture of Peer-to-Peer （P2P） network based on super peer is described,and on this basis,a prototype system of the digital library is proposed. The related semantic structure and search algorithm are studied,and the semantics-first strategies to solve the load balance of the system are discussed. At the same time,a self-organizing strategy is presented to improve its reliability. Experiments indicate that the algorithms are feasible and effective.
