A novel ventiquattro-meric polyaluninium chloride, Al24O11（OH）44Cl6 was prepared by using aluminium powder, AlCl3·6H2O and water as reactants, adjusting the recipe, reacting and aging temperature and time, and evaporating and crystallizing. The result product was characterized by XRD and chemical analysis.
