系统地总结了当下乡土建筑的类型与分布状况,进而从整体性、系统性和非遗活态性三个方面对乡土建筑保护中"真实性"问题再次反思。探讨了乡土建筑系统性的研究策略,通过营造本质和营造主体研究,以匠意、匠技为出发点,从尺系尺法、匠习手风、匠技流派、形制风格等方面分析乡土建筑地域性特征,进而形成区划分类和谱系框架。在"真实性"研究的基础上,还针对世界遗产中乡土建筑的保护方法问题,提出了"低技术"方略,即立足于乡土自然条件和人文习俗,采用传统经验和营造工艺,运用地方材料和简便易行的技术手段进行保护,以期对乡土建筑保护的可持续之路有所裨益。
