Forest soil water infiltration is affected by many factors in complex forest environment. The effect of soil texture, soil porosity, initial soil moisture, rainfall, underlying surface factors on forest soil water infiltration were summarized. Several theoretical infiltration model, semi-empirical and semi-theoretical infiltration model, empirical infiltration model, and the other infiltration models with different characteristics and uses based on the traditional models were introduced in this paper.
