According to the ancient literature research,this paper analyzed the rise and decline process of Liuzhou old city construction,extension,demolished during Tang-Republic of China section,under the influence of military,regional economic and trade and early modern industrial construction,discussed the internal reasons of promoting city walls,city gates,city towers and other city system factors construction,revealed the main development course of Liuzhou city from closed to open morphological evolution,then summarized the Liuzhou old city features in military influence period and economic influence period.
