Six-membered cycle is the most common motif in the structure of natural products and bio- logically active compounds. The synthetic methodology of six-membered cycles has attracted much at- tention of chemists. Among the existing method, [5C+1X] annulation is a novel strategy to construct six- membered ring. In this review,the new development of the [5C+1X] annultation strategy with poly- sub stituted divinyl ketones is summarized.
