英文摘要：

Nano-multilayers, comprised of alternatively formed ＇nano-size＇ sublayers of different materials, have been successfully produced from plating. This paper summarizes the literature of composite coating with nano multilayers introduces the development of nano-technology and nano composite coating, discusses the future developing direction of nano multilayers.
