Objective：To study the Hela cell proliferation and apoptosis influenced by Varp. Methods：Varp overex pressed stable cell line Hela/Varp was constructed. 3H-TdR incorporation assay and PI staining flow cytometry （FCM） was used to detect the proliferation and apoptosis of various cells, respectively. Results ： Proliferation is lower but apoptosis is higher in Varp overexpressed stable cell line compared with the control cell. Conclusion： Overexpression of Varp inhibits proliferation and reduces apoptosis in Hela cell.
