Several kinds of alkylated naphthalene oils were synthesized by naphthalene alkylation with alkylnaphthalene and long chain α-olefin. Rheological properties （ kinematic viscosity, pour point and flash point）, tribological properties （max no-seizure load ,weld point and wear scar diameter）and acid value were determined and were compared with the alkylated naphthalene oil A sold on the market.
