As radiation detection materials ,X - ray phosphors can convert high - energy ionizing radiation of X - ray , γray ,α particle and neutron into UV - visible light , and play an important role in high - energy physics , medicine imaging , security detection ,and well logging .In this article ,the development history ,luminescence mechanism and application of X - ray phosphors in medical imaging are presented .
