This paper summarizes the ITRF reference frame theory and the analyses its advantages,disadvantages,characteristics and difference among terrestrial reference frames.Based on the protocol analysis,in the light of the status of our country,this paper puts forward several proposals of setting up new generation of Chinese terrestrial reference system.
