The displacement of the abomasums（DA） in dairy cows is a internal medicine disease which refer to normal anatomical location change,and results in digestive function obstacle.This disease happens more commonly in high yield cows,makes about enormous economic loss.The causes of DA in dairy cows were summarized from heredity,breed,birth order and production level,onset period,nutrition and metabolism,and environmental factors.Meanwhile,the pathogenesis of DA was summarized from the atony of abomasum and mechanical factors according to the latest research progress in this article in order to supply important theoretic foundation for effective prevention and control of DA.
