成书于明代的《五侯鲭字海》是我国古代收字最多的字书之一,达53712个,可为研究异体字、俗字提供大量第一手资料.当今,唯有Unicode码是国际性的编码,共计74616个字符,是汉语古籍文本化过程中首选的字符集,不见于该字符集的汉字称之为未编码字.本文对《五侯鲭字海》中的20个未编码字进行研究,溯其字源而明其音义,希望为确定这些字的属性及大型字书的编纂提供参考.
“Wuhouzheng Zihai” (《五侯鲭字海》) is one of the books recording the largest amount of characters in ancient China in the Ming Dynasty, up to 53712 charac-ters, which can provide a lot of fi rst-hand data for the study of variant forms of characters and folk characters. Today, the Unicode code is the only international code with 74616 characters, which is the fi rst choice in the process of transporting ancient books into text. Characters can’t fi nd in the Unicode code called uncoded word. This article researches 20 uncoded words in “Wuhouzheng Zihai” (《五侯鲭字海》), in order to pinpoint their source, pronunciation and meaning and give reference to the conforming of their property and the edit of dictionaries.
