The thermal and electrical properties of intercalated compounds (NH2 CONH2)xTiS2 synthesized using a combined process of solid state reaction and moist chemical method have been investigated in temperature range 5 -310K. The changes of lattice constants (a and c), thermal and electrical behavior after intercalation could confirm urea molecules have been intercalated into van der Waals gaps of TiS2 successfully. The results indicate that urea in- tercalation leads to substantial decrease of thermal conductivity, the thermal conductivity of that sample (synthesized in 12. 5 mmol/L benzene solution of urea) about 1.5 W(m-IK-1 (only 50% of pure TiS2) at room temperature. We also find that their DC resistivities show semiconductor behavior at low temperature due to the intercalation of urea molecules.
