Thiacalixarene represents＇a new important class of synthetic host molecules and has versatile applications to supramolecular chemistry, molecular recognition, crystal engineering and nano material as well as many other fields. This paper describes the latest research progress of thiacalixarene in synthesis, functionalized modifications and applications.
