Hydrotalcite-like compounds（ HTlc） is a type of the layered structure nanomaterials and also named layered double hydroxides（ LDH）.Hydrotalcite-like compounds has been widely investigated because of its simple preparation and widely promising applications. In this paper,several methods of the preparation of HTlc nanomaterials were introduced at first,and then their new developments and applications were mainly reviewed on two directions such as spinel and solar cells.
