网络的迅速发展使Web的访问量大大增加,大量的Web访问都需要DNS服务器进行解析,将要访问站点的域名转换为IP地址。因此,DNS服务器的解析性能是非常重要的。然而域名解析系统的结构也在不断变化,对它的性能测试有一定的困难。文中通过分析不同结构的域名解析系统及其工作方式,将DNS服务器的解析总结为本地解析和非本地解析两种,然后根据这两种情形,进行有针对性的性能测试设计,提出了一种通用的DNS服务器解析性能测试方案,并以层次DNS作为被测,基于突发流量的情景进行了测试实验,得到了一些性能指标,最后给出全文总结及下一步工作。
With the rapid development of the Internet, large numbers of Web accesses need DNS server to resolve the domain name to an IP address. So the DNS server's analytical performance is very important. However, the structure change of new Domain Name System brings some', difficulties to its performance testing. In this paper, the different structures of Domain Name System and their working ways are analyzed in detail. The resolutions can be divided into two cases, local resolution and non-local resolution. Furthermore, a general performance testing scheme of DNS server is de- signed for the two cases. Based on the burst traffic, the testing work was carried out to a hierarchy DNS structure and some performance index was obtained. Finally, the whole paper is summarized and the future research work plan is given.
