The researchers lay an emphasis on the coaxial planetary gear reducer with dual power output because of its unique structural style, but it is still difficult to design such reducer at present due to the restriction in overall dimension and weight. Using ANSYS parametric design language ( APDL} , the command stream based program is developed to establish parameter model, generate the finite element mesh, determine the boundary condition and complete the optimization analysis. In order to reduce the volume of planet carrier and shell parts, the zero - order method is used to implement the optimal design under conditions of enough strength and stiffness.
