In view of traffic safety issues of expressway road section, taking road section safety impact indicators as intermediate variable, revealed the impacts that roads, traffic flow and traffic environment, ere have on road section safety; and based on fussy evaluation theory, established road section traffic safety level evaluation method. Verified by traffic safety level evaluation, result of the evaluation method is found to be reasonable and effective.
