2-（ 3-Methyl-5-oxo-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl）-2-sulfopropanoic acid（ purity 99. 9%）,in total yield of 54%,was synthesised by the reaction of edaravone,pyruvic acid and sodiumhydrogensulfite. The structure was confirmed by^1 H NMR,^13 C NMR and HR-MS.
