类鼻疽伯克霍尔德菌是一种热带医学病原体,现被美国CDC提升为I类致病菌严加防范。类鼻疽伯克霍尔德菌所导致的疾病称为类鼻疽,致死率和复发率都很高,广泛流行于东南亚及我国南海周边地区,已成为严峻的公共卫生问题。作为一种兼性胞内菌,类鼻疽伯克霍尔德菌的胞内运动能力为其逃逸机体免疫和细胞间的扩散提供了重要基础。胞内动力相关蛋白A(BimA)是一种类鼻疽菌自分泌的、与其胞内运动相关的关键分子,它通过操控肌动蛋白实现干预细菌的胞内运动,在类鼻疽菌的感染和致病中发挥着重要作用。全面、深入地了解BimA在类鼻疽菌感染中的作用机制对寻找有效预防和控制该病原的传播等方面具有重要意义。本文即综述了BimA蛋白的生物学特性分析,结合研究报道探讨其主导细菌胞内运动、干扰宿主胞内免疫、实现细菌胞间传播的机制及意义。
Burkholderia pseudomallei,a tropical medicine pathogen,is listed as Titer I'pathogen by US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.It is widely spread in Southeast Asia and the surrounding area of the South Sea of China.Its associated disease is melioidosis,with a high mortality and relapse rate,which has become a serious problem for public health.As an intracellular bacteria,its ability for intercellular motility plays a key role in its immunity escape and cell-to-cell diffusion.Burkholderia pseudomallei intracellular movement associated protein(BimA),an auto-secreted protein of B.Pseudomallei,takes part in manipulating intracellular actin function and associates with the pathogenicity of B.Pseudomallei.Comprehensive and in-depth understanding about BimA and associated mechanism would benefit prevention and control of the pathogen.This review focuses on the biological characteristics and research progress about BimA to discuss its roles in B.Pseudomallei intracellular movement,immunity escape and cell-to-cell diffusion.
