Code for risk management of underground works in urban rail transit GB50652—2011 is the first standard of risk management in the practice of tunnel and underground works,which stands for a milestone and a new phase for risk management of underground works＇ construction in Chinese urban rail transit.As an editor in chief,authors introduce some detailed information of the background,motivation,preparation,specification of the code.Moreover,some basic theory,key points and interpretation are explained and discussed.Finally,the status of art and current progress of some international standards related to risk management of civil engineering are introduced.
