Hepatocytes take on a lot of function in metabolism, including fatty acid synthesis and cholesterol metabolism. Endo- plasmic reticulum stress (ER stress) is known as the adaptive mechanism that keep Endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis and normal func- tion. Some researches showed that the ER stress signalling pathway and key proteins in signalling pathway were involved in lipid metabolism. This paper will focus on the mechanism of ER stress induced-signaling on lipid metabolism and the relationship between ER stress and the diseaseinduecd by lipid metabolic disorder.
