The environmental protection and resource conservation is the basic national policy, but also the key to implementing the strategy of sustainable development in China.Middle school students are the main force in the future of national construction,to strengthen the environmental protection education is the fundamental guarantee to achieve sustainable development. Based on investigation on middle school students＇ environmental awareness in Hengyang,it found that most of the students had a certain e environmental awareness and still quite a few students were relatively weak in environmental awareness and lack of environmental protection behavior.It found that the level of environmental awareness needs to be improved, especially to protect the environment, to deal with environmental problems and improve the environment of poor skills.The investigation found that the middle school students＇ environmental behavior is worrying~ the middle school environment education is insufficient aware- ness,awareness is not in place, the curriculum system is not perfect, and many other issues. Therefore, all levels of schools should strengthen environmental education eurrieulum system construction, strengthen environmental education, and actively carry out environmental public welfare activities and other ways to improve the environmental awareness of high school students.
