The paper analyzes the growth mode of Chinese star-hotels based on the panel data model and Malmquist index, and discusses that the efficiency and technology factors are essential to the growth of Chinese star-hotels, then it puts forward some ideas of improving Chinese star-hotels＇ growth quality. Chinese star-hotels＇ growth mode is an extensive type. The promoting effect of labors on China star-hotels＇ growth is the strongest, and the factors including capital, efficiency upgrading, technology progress can promote Chinese star-hotel＇ growth to a certain extent. In addition to factors of production, the infrastructure improvements in every city can efficiently promote the development of star-hotels. On the whole, the combined effect of Chinese star-hotels between the technical progress and efficiency upgrading is positive, and the reason is that the promoting effect of efficiency upgrading is bigger than the lag effect of technology progress. China should support the development of appropriate technology, intelligent system of our star-hotels and actively develop intelligent star-hotels in order to improve our star-hotels＇ growth quality.
