It is found from our previous studies that the main shock magnitude values of each seismogenic period are almost identical for a certain seismic zone.Therefore,the main shock magnitude value can be regarded as the seismic zone risk level.Accordingly,the risk level is evaluated for some seismic zones in China and its adjacent areas,the Circum-Pacific seismic belt and the Eurasian seismic belt. This research could be referenced by the department concerned.
