鄂北岗地是中国八大商品粮基地之一，但缺水易旱一直是该区农业发展的障碍。在简要概述区内水文地质条件的基础上，从地下水开采潜力、技术、经济簪件和社会经济发展需求等方面对该区地下水开发利用的可行性进行论证，结果表明地下水资源的开发利用是区内的一种重要供水形式，在各方面均是可行的。
英文摘要：
The humpy ground in Northern Hubei is one of the eight bases of commercial foodstuff,but the lack of water is the obstacle of the agricultural development of this area. On the basis of the brief description of the hydrogeological conditions in the area, this paper demonstrates the feasibility of the development and utilization of underground water in the area from such aspects of potential and technological conditions of underground water development, economic conditions and the need of social and economic development. The result shows that the development of underground water is an important form of water supply in the area and it is feasible in all aspects.
