To study the journal Sharh Shing founded by Shaanxi students in Japan, and the spread and impact of democratic revolutionary thoughts in the Northwest China, the original document analysis research method is used. The results show that the content transmitted by the Sharh Shing, on the one hand, attacked the feudal autocratic rule of the Qing Government, on the other hand, exposed the aggressive nature of imperialism and expressed concerns about the national situation, and relied on the power of citizen for national prosperity. In addition, it introduced the thought of democratic revolution and effected the enlightenment to a certain extent. In several journals which were founded by Shaanxi students studying in Japan, Sharh Shing had the greatest impact and the highest quality. Though the Northwest region was inconvenient in transportation and uninformed, Sharh Shing adhered to its own voice, inspired the people and passed the power, and played an irreplaceable role in awakening the Northwest people and promoted the democratic revolutionary movement.
