Fracture healing is a complex pathophysiological processa, in which many kinds of growth factors participate and play an important role. In recent years, a large number of studies have shown that bone morphogenetic protein （BMP） is a key of bone growth factor, and it plays a vital role in fracture healing. This article reviewed the research progress in this field at home and abroad in recent years.
