Application systems are often put into trial operation before fully tested.During the period,various changes would be made by developers.It＇ll be real boring job updating software,especially in large C/S structured systems.The implementation of auto-update can immensely simplify the process of installing new versions.This paper elaborates on the mechanism and implementation of a new method of auto-updating trans-platform software based on FTP and message queuing which is used in an equipment management system.
